Pilot 4 Mile Fitness Run – June 09

Another great turnout for the second Pilot 4 Mile Fitness run at Harwicke, Gloucester. 23 Cotswold Allrunners ran the 4 Mile race in somewhat warmer conditions to 4 weeks ago. For those who ran the first one, knew the course and proceeded to beat their previous time. For some it was their first race and took on the unknown challenge of a race rather than a normal training run. Everyone enjoyed the race and stayed at the finish line to cheer all the Cotswold Allrunners over the finish.

The reward for such great achievement was obvious, with many runners rushing to hydrate from the licensed bar at the Pilot Inn.

May 09 Pilot 4 Mile Run

Congratulations to everyone in your success at the first race of the Pilot 4 Mile Fitness Run Series.

A turnout of 26 members, equated to nearly a third of the total field. It was very surprising to see so many there as the day was gradually turning from a lovely sumers day into a grey and bleak spring evening. The wind picked up and at around 6: 45pm the car park of the Pilot Inn in hardwicke was looking rather empty.

However, over the next 45 minutes a sea of pruple, black and white striped vest descended upon the normally quite rural lane to Elmore. A full report to follow …
