Bath Half Marathon 2009

Bath City in the north of Wiltshire is a beautiful place to visit in early March where spring has not quite begun, but instead over 10000 runners embark on a 13.1 mile journey around the City and it’s surroundings.
This year saw the Bath Half Marathon organised by Running High and supported by Sweatshop. The conditions were good with little wind and clear skies.
Kate McEvoy was first Cotswold Allrunner over the line in a new personal best of 2hrs1min. She was followed closely by Liz who tried to stay with her but still managed a quicker time than last years Stroud half marathon to finish in 2hrs3mins. Next was Dinah, who slipped on a drinks bottle at about 8 miles and had to spend several minutes composing herself and nursing an injured knee, but with her level of determination, we all knew she was still going to cover every inch of the 13.1mile course.
