The W Ascent

 The W Ascent is a race organised by Cotswold Allrunners in association with the Nailsworth Games as a celebration of sport.

The aim of our festival is to enable children and adults to try different sports, have fun and experience activities that don’t usually occur in Nailsworth, hopefully leading to people becoming more active and joining local clubs.

This year’s event is taking place over the weekend of 26^th and 27^th of June (10am to 5pm).

The Race itself.

Start Times

Ladies race: 11:00

Juniors (under 16s): 11:15am

Mens Race: 11:30am

Car Park.  Please use the Halfway House Car Park and the Common to the side.

Walk down the W to the start at the Juntion with Watledge Lane.

NOTE: The road will be closed from 11:00am until the last male runners has completed the race.  approx. 11:45am

This road closure is legally enforceable and is for pedestrian and emergency vehicles only.  This ensures the safety of runners at all times.

Registration will begin at 10:30an at the start of the race and you are required to supply name, address and emergency contact details before you can start the race.

Entry: Free

A certificate will be give to everyone who completes the race, but there are no official timings, but a timekeeper will shout out your time when you cross the finish line.
