The Race
This 10K race is a great Easter time run on quiet country lanes in and around the beautiful Cotswold town of Minchinhampton. It has been accurately measured and although contains one hill and a few undulations it is still a reasonably quick course. See previous results 2010 & 2011
All finishers receive a medal and a Cadbury’s Cream Egg.
The Course
The race starts in the grounds of Minchinhampton Primary School, a short section of about 50metres, before turning right into Cambridge Way, a short loop around local houses, Dr Browns Road, Sheppard Way and Ricardo Road, brings you out into Windmill Road (1KM).
Heading slightly downhill, all the way in to the centre of Minchinhampton and out into the rural roads past Gatcombe Park, with minor undulations, followed by the main descent past the Minchinhampton New Golf Course towards Avening.
Near the botton of the hill, a course takes a left turn towards Nags Head (see 2nd photo from left below) and the half way point of the race (5Km). Here will be the drinks station.
The course now takes a left turn at the the old Red Phonebox and begins the main ascent of this race, at 6Km.
The country lane (pictured above far right), continues all the way between the 2 Golf courses and emerges in . The Crossing the main road and turning right heading towards Hyde, past Hampton Fields, then left at Crackstone, the route is now heading back towards Minchinchampton.

At 8KM the route rejoins the (pictured right) just past Gatcombe Park and heads to the centre of the town. Down Friday Street, then turning right to head up towards the Memorial (pictured left).
Finally, a right turn at the Crown Inn and about 150m along towards Minchinhampton Primary School and over the finish line .
