Cotswold Way Relay 26th June 2010

Saturday in late June, when most of us are thinking about staying out of the heat, 20 Cotswold Allrunners took on the challenge of the Cotswold Way in a relay race.

This year with 2 teams of ten, entering the event which goes from Chipping Campden to Bath Abbey, the heat was the biggest obstacle to overcome.

Well done!

The ladies team finished 9th in their category, with all team members giving it 100%, some having done a midnight walk as smurfs the night before and a great performance came from new member Jess Bull, who was 5th lady on her run over Selsley Common, stage 6.

The mixed team also did well finishing 17th and included a first ever stage win for Cotswold Allrunners, by Simon Barnes on stage 8.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in this event and also to everyone who supported the teams in particular Coach Dave Smith.

The teams were as follows:

Sarrah Mason and Steve Millward on Stage 1, Mal Walker and Lucy King on stage 2, Liz Workman and Kyla Noble on Stage 3, Danny Livingstone and Natasha Berri on stage 4, Gavin Townsend and Becky Howells on stage 5, Jess Bull and Gerard Newman on stage 6, Jennie Marshall and Martin Low on stage 7, Simon Barnes and Rose Niland on stage 8, Nicola Billis and Simon Calladine on stage 9, Trudy Chudleigh and Steve Townsend on stage 10.
