The Rudolph Rampage took place in the beautiful Cotswold village of Painswick last Sunday the 20th December.  Obviously the lure of mulled wine and mince pies got all participants to the start line, wearing suitable festive items ready to take on the four and half mile multi-terrain race in cold and snowy conditions.

These picturesque conditions actually made the field smaller than expected as driving conditions meant many couldn’t make it to the event.

The winner John O’Connor Before the Rampageonly managed to get past the leading lady Sarrah Mason in the 400m downhill section of the course to finish in just over 40 minutes. Second placed Tamash Lal ran very well, closely followed by 3rd Man, Miles Owen.  Second Lady was Natasha Marshall just in front of 3rd Lady Ruth Hunphreys.  Full provisional results available at http://www.carun.org/_results/RES-RR09provisional.pdf

The John Pope Cup, was presented to Mal Walker who at 68 won the Cotswold Allrunners club trophy based on age related performance.

Once again a great success for all the members of Cotswold Allrunners and thanks to everyone who helped this event happen.

If you would like to start running in the 2010, why not come and join us for a training session either in Stroud or Nailsworth.  Full details at www.carun.org

A great atmosphere and the mince pies with mulled wine just made it all worth it !.. My first trophy is already polished and on display. Looking forward to doing this one again and not getting lost !

Congratulations to everyone who ran the challenging course. It wasn’t meant to be easy, but you all completed it, drank mulled wine, ate mince pies and all chatted about the route.

    Great to hear and see.

Sorry for those who couldn’t make it, but there are plenty more runs in the pipeline.

Another proud moment to be part of this great club, the Cotswold Allrunners.
