Congratulations to the seven determined lady Cotswold Allrunners that embraced the stormy weather conditions, that this years Guy Fawkes 5 mile road race threw at them on Sunday the 1st November. This years race organised by Tewkesbury Athletics Club, saw entries close very early proving that this race is very popular.
Therese Bartlett was first Cotswold Allrunner home in 42:37mins, which considering she ran a Personal Best in the Stroud Half Marathon only the previous Sunday, is brilliant. Next was Dinah Benneworth who similarly to Therese had run the previous weekend, finished in 44:11mins, closely followed by Sue Harris in a time of 45:10mins and just over a minute later saw Sally Reay, complete the 5 mile course in 46:58mins.
Next was newcomer Vicki Jones crosssing the finish line in a time 50:49mins, followed by Alison Manley battling the gale force winds and driving rain finishing in 54:15mins and Jane Hunt no doubt enjoying the conditions getting a time of 55:28mins.
This is certainly a race worth considering next year.

Well done ladies. The conditions were very tough on Sunday, with the wind and rain, so I hope you also enjoyed and had a well deserved cup of tea afterwards.
Also, considering that most people stayed at home on Sunday, as only 6 runners ventured out for 2 training groups.
Recover well and see you all back in training shortly
